We have been meaning to try this restaurant for a few years and tonight was our chance. We got there fairly early but did not have a reservation, so we opted to eat at the bar. It was happy hour, NJ beers & specialty cocktails $5. We each got a pint, a small bucket of popcorn was given to us while we waited for our food. We both ordered the WH Burger - Burger with white cheddar, bacon, onion jam and horseradish mayonnaise. This did not disappoint. The mayonnaise was not overpowering and there's was just enough sweetness from the onion jam. We did not order dessert, because we were full from the hearty meal.
We were never rushed even though it was starting to get busy; as there was an event at the Skylands Stadium.
Will definitely be going back. Recommend Reservations if you planning on going. -

Came here for a rehearsal dinner for a friend's wedding. Not sure if it is the area or the fact that we were part of the wedding part, but the staff is super friendly. We were greeted at the door with smiles and through the night with amazing service. The staff also was part of the dining experience at the venue and they were absolutely amazing!
They said they picked this place to cater for the wedding because their burgers were good. I regret not picking the burger for dinner but YES the burger was amazing. They also have a chicken, roasted peppers and mozzarella sandwich that was not dry at all which is a great alternative to a burger if you're looking for something healthier.
I didn't love the dessert - chocolate banana bread pudding and carrot cake, only because they aren't my go to items BUT they had amazing waffles and a chocolate pastry at the wedding that I couldn't get enough of. The waitress knew to keep coming back to me with every new plate that she brought out, loved it!
The space offers tables that fit large groups. We were a group of 50 which split us into three different long tables. There is a casual bar area with bar stool seating for you to wait for your seat. Very spacious, enjoyed the experience for sure. -

Tried this place again. It is 100x better than the last time we went.
The menu had a lot more to choose from and was friendly for all types of allergies and diets.
The drink menu was larger as well and had a much better selection.
All of the food was made with very fresh ingredients and was very flavorful. The service was good as well considering one waiter was handling the entire floor.
The only downfall was the live music was a little to loud so it was difficult to have a conversation. Considering the building is concrete the music just bounces all over and you feel like you're yelling when you're having a conversation.
All in all though the experience this time around was much better and this is definitely a place we will be visiting more often. There aren't many places like this around here! -

We were very hopeful about this place--but be forewarned-the place is only open Wednesday through Sunday-and if you call on any other day, the message says you can leave a reservation request and someone will get back to you. This is NOT so. I called on Thursday to confirm a Saturday reservation that I had made on the machine Tuesday night. A full 5 days before I was planning on coming in with 6 people. The woman who answered my call was snarky and strange. She took it upon herself to tell me to try to change my plans to accommodate THE RESTAURANT. She said I should change my plans of seeing the light show at the stadium and dinner with extended family to Sunday because they are just too busy for any more people On Saturday. Umm-no-that's ok. We went to check it out on Wednesday night anyway to see if it was so good that people are actually taking this advice-and I can say -it's mediocre at BEST.
Hostess (preppy dresser-owner maybe) is socially awkward, and her remarks, while said with a smile are blatantly condescending, not welcoming and borderline rude. Her tone betrays her, and our initial exchange In Regards to our table placement made me want to leave. The waiter was great however. I had the fried chicken. Be warned-it's boneless tenders that really need to be On The kids menu. My husband had the Mac and cheese with what was basically pulled pork and crispy onions. He said is was so so. Cheese board was not very well thought out or displayed, but the red pepper jam was wonderful.
Overall the weirdness outweighs the food quality, and the hostess and reservation receptionist made it clear that they don't need our business. Good luck to them.
